What the scan finds

The waste Azure doesn't point out

Stopped but still billed

VMs shut down from inside Windows or Linux that Azure keeps charging at full price.

How to find and fix it

Orphaned resources

Unattached disks, unused public IPs, empty load balancers and App Service plans nobody uses.

Forgotten backups

Snapshots of disks that no longer exist, and backups of VMs you deleted long ago.

Licences you already own

Windows VMs paying for licences that Azure Hybrid Benefit could cover.

Idle AI capacity

Azure OpenAI provisioned capacity sitting unused, and older models that cost more per token.

Rightsizing & reservations

Microsoft Advisor's rightsizing, reservation and savings plan advice, priced for you.

Anything that depends on an assumption is marked for review and left out of the total, so the headline number holds up.

Questions

Frequently asked

Is it safe to connect my Azure account?

Yes. You sign in with Microsoft and the scanner only ever reads: costs, resource settings and Advisor advice. It acts with your own Azure permissions, so an account with the Reader role is all it needs. Every fix is something you run yourself.

How is this different from Azure Cost Management and Azure Advisor?

Azure Cost Management shows what you spent, and Azure Advisor lists general recommendations. Cloud Cost Scanner reads both, adds its own checks for idle, orphaned and oversized resources, puts a monthly price on every saving and gives you the exact steps to fix it.

What does the free scan include?

A full scan of one subscription, your total avoidable spend, and complete details with fix steps for your biggest savings. No credit card.

My Azure is on a personal Microsoft account. Can I use it?

Yes. Choose "Using a personal Microsoft account?" under the sign-in button and enter the email you use for Azure.

How are the savings worked out?

From each resource's actual cost, Azure's public prices, or Microsoft's own estimate, and every item shows how. Anything that depends on an assumption is marked for review and left out of the headline total.

Which plan do I need?

It depends on the size of your monthly Azure bill; the spend range for each plan is shown above. Run the free scan and we'll tell you which plan fits.

Can you fix the problems for us?

Yes. Increscent's Azure consultants can implement the fixes. It's included on Enterprise, and available to any plan on request.

My company says the app needs admin approval. What do I do?

Some organizations only let IT admins approve new apps. Ask an admin of your Microsoft Entra ID to sign in here once and tick "Consent on behalf of your organization". After that, everyone in your company can sign in. Access stays read-only.

Can I remove my data?

Any time, from your Reports page. You can also revoke the app's access in Microsoft at myapps.microsoft.com.
